Under New Ownership

From October 2024, Sarah, Gillian & Graeme Dykes are the new owners of Pampurr Canine Hydrotherapy.

In the spring of 2024, the previous owner, Pam Weeks, decided the time was right to sell Pampurr to focus her energies on her other businesses, health and family life.

We are so grateful to Pam for all her help and guidance in the transition of the business to us.

As we take the business forward, we intend to maintain the service and operation that many have enjoyed. With that in mind we are delighted to announce that, Abigail Stribbling, who has made a significant contribution to the success of the business, will be continuing with us.

We trust we will build upon the strong platform that she and Pam have founded. .

The New Team

Sarah
Director and Clinical Lead

Sarah graduated from Anglia Ruskin University-Writtle with a BSc in Canine Therapy. She has three years’ experience at the Writtle Hydro and therapy centre, further training at the renowned Greyfriars Veterinary Rehabilitation & Pet Hydrotherapy Centre and various work placements in local Canine Hydro Clinics.

Prior to University, Sarah completed an Agriculture course at Plumpton College and worked locally, for 4 years, as the Farm Manager at St George’s Park, Wivelsfield
She bred and showed cattle and was the youngest serving committee member of the Sussex Cattle Society.

As Lead Hydrotherapist, Sarah is keen to provide the highest quality of compassionate care to all our patients and their owners. She is committed to maintaining best practice in all clinical matters. She enjoys watching and playing rugby. She was captain of her university team in her final year.

Whilst working as a farmer she became the proud owner of her first dog. An adorable Border Collie who is slightly afraid of sheep!

Abigail

Senior Hydrotherapist

Abigail qualified with a Level 3 Certificate in Small Animal Hydrotherapy from Hawksmoor Training and Rehabilitation Centre in 2017. She additionally completed an advanced treadmill training course at Greyfriars Rehabilitation and Training Centre in 2021.

She joined Pampurr as a work experience student in 2017 and has been there ever since. Through her hard work and commitment to the role, she is now Senior Hydrotherapist. She was integral in the continuing success of the clinical operation after the difficult pandemic years.

Abigail champions the promotion of the health and wellbeing of all her patients and is keen to enhance and create a more positive and rewarding experience for them.

She is currently Joint Vice Chair, Member of the Audit Sub Committee & Member of the Events Planning Sub Committee of NARCH (National Association of Registered Canine Hydrotherapists ) .

She enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her cheeky French Bulldog, who may become a more frequent visitor to the Hydrotherapy clinic.

Gillian

Director

Gillian has 20+ years’ experience as a Certified Chartered Accountant in a variety of industries including Medical, Manufacturing, Engineering & Travel. Latterly, she has been involved in developing ecommerce through web content management & digital engagement.

She & Graeme live in the Kent countryside and love wild open spaces to “walk the woofs.”

Additionally, she dabbles in photography & crafts and enjoys music, film & theatre.

Growing up, her family had Cocker Spaniels. Her first dog shared with Graeme was a Golden Retriever who proved the best companion to their three children. Gillian has fostered a manic Flat Coat Retriever and whilst Sarah studied at university, she looked after her Border Collie. Once the family nest started to empty, Gillian and Graeme replaced the kids with two affectionate but needy Cockapoos – sometimes, it’s difficult to tell what’s changed !!

Graeme

Director

Graeme is a business consultant and, with Gillian, has run their own business for 20 years providing programme & project management as well as data protection services. Prior to that Graeme worked in the IT industry as an engineer and technical support consultant.

Graeme likes the countryside, long walks and outdoor activities. He was a scout leader for many years and when possible, he enjoys bushcraft, camping, canoeing, a bit of golf and bell ringing at the village church.

Graeme is Scottish and his first dog was a Golden Retriever who emigrated with his family to England in the 1970’s. Looking back, our Retriever had a very simple life: a basket, collar, lead and very few toys. Unlike our current Cockerpoos. who live a very pampered life by comparison. .
